This is my second ever attempt to make hummus and thank goodness it wasn't a disaster like my first time. I swapped chickpeas with black bean for fun and I love how it turned out! Creamy, spicy and full of aromatics.
Serves 2
INGREDIENTS
2 cups of black bean, rinsed and boiled until soft.
A stalk of fresh cilantro
2 tbsp of tahini (I made my own because I couldn't find affordable tahini!)
2 tbsp of chili flakes
1 tbsp of toasted cumin seeds
Salt to taste
2 cloves of garlic, chopped
3 tbsp of olive oil
Water, if needed
DIRECTIONS
- Blend all the ingredients in a food processor until it has a thick consistency.
- Served with pita bread, naan or crackers.
