Super Green Vegan Garlic Spread


I absolutely hate store-bought garlic spreads because of their unusually salty taste. So, I used to make my own garlic spread with unsalted butter whenever I crave for garlic bread. In this recipe, I attempted to make a vegan version of it.

Serves 1

INGREDIENTS

2 cloves of garlic, roughly chopped
1/2 stalk of fresh cilantro, roughly chopped
1 sprig of thyme
A pinch of chili flakes
Salt
2 tbsp of olive oil

DIRECTIONS

  1. Grind garlic, cilantro, thyme, chili flakes and salt in a pestle and mortar until finely grounded.
  2. Pour in olive oil and mix well.
  3. Spread on any bread of your preferences and toast until ready. 
  4. Best served with French onion soup, mushroom soup or pasta.
